Soil genesis, commonly termed pedogenesis, is the elaborate process by which soils are formed. This continuous transformation involves the engagement of numerous factors, including climate, topography, parent material, biomass, and time. These factors operate in a coordinated manner to mold the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil.
